With the school year's end coming into view, summer will pass and before you know it, it's September and time to send the kids out to school again. If you have horse crazy kids at home and a few extra grand kicking around, why not send them to a school with an equestrian curriculum?

Queen Margaret School

QMS is located on the west coast in Duncan, British Columbia. The junior school (kindergarten to grade 7) is co-ed but the senior school (grade 8-12) is all girls. The school offers a course as part of their curriculum in riding, competitive riding and equine sciences. Yes, that's right; you get high school credits to ride horses.

Tuition's a little steep at $3,860 to $ 12,050 for day school and $31,550 to $48,300 for the boarding school. There's also additional costs for the equine programs. However there are scholarships you can apply for.

One more great thing about QMS is you can bring your own horse! Leasing a horse or riding one of the school's is also an option though. Rider's can receive training in hunter/jumpers, equitation, dressage and eventing. Rider level testing is also available.

There's also Andrews Osborne Academy in Ohio and the Grier School in Pennsylvania if you don't mind sending your offspring across the boarder. There used to be another school with an equine program in Bethany Hills, Ontario but sadly it was closed in 2009.
