Mia is an ancient Arabian mare who was my lesson horse when I started blogging here.  She is possibly 38 years old this year, I have not ridden her for around four years (she "told me" that she was just too old and tired to deal with it any more.)  She now lives between the "old folks" paddock where she has a boy friend (finally!!!!) and the mare pasture.

Mia really likes having a boyfriend.  It is OK to hang out with the other girls occasionally, but it is more fun to hang with her boyfriend.

I am fortunate, I found a hunt seat stable for lessons whose owner really, really likes Arabian horses!  Lately she has had me work with two QHs, but there is a definite possibility that in the not too distant future I will be able to ride and work on an Arabian again!

Yes, I would very much agree with you that in these pictures Aspen looks more happy in the hunt seat tack. She loves jumping so much!!! It makes her so happy. Gaming however is her favorite I would say, not trying to offend you in any way, shape, and form. During gaming she just has a way different feel. She just knows the patterns and is very kind headed. Aspen loves everything she does! I would t make her ever do anything she didn’t want to. Also in pleasure she doesn’t like that “as much” she still doesn’t mind it but it’s still not her favorite. Also, I love, love, love, your horse!!! The color is beautiful and it’s face is so pretty!

I am not trying to get down on you Lucy.

From these pictures I get the impression that your horse is happier doing hunt seat.  He looks like he is cheerfully thinking FORWARD in the hunt seat tack.

Your horse has a really kind face.
