Here are some pics of My son Nick at the South Australian Inter-School State Championships. His Dun pony , Rocket, was 2nd in the primary school Challenge.
The Challenge is a three part comp, a ridden work-out, a showjump course (judged on equitation) and an In-hand work-out. Nick was 1st on his pally mare Lanyon Sugar rush. Now we wait til the 25th of may to find out if he has State selection for the Nationals.

Yes, I get what you mean. You are so lucky to have sired a born horseman.
It sure looks like he is close to being ready for the following hand over the jump (automatic release, I hate that term, there is nothing automatic about it at first). He must have a good teacher!!!
Yes Jackie, we are proud of him. But , you know, we are proud of the way he goes about his riding and the way he loves his ponies, it's less important the results he gets. For a 10 yo he just gets the whole thing, if you know what I mean.
Thanks for the pictures Geoffrey. You must be really proud of Nick!
