Barnmice Equestrian Social Community

The video community for horse people everywhere

I've been using some of the ideas that I see in you blog and have to report that I am starting to see a difference.

Yesterday, I worked on opening up the hip flexors for about 45 minutes (a variety of exercises) and then rode. It was unquestionably the most supple ride that I have had recently.

This is especially critical for me as I am now riding a new young stallion (age 3) who has a lot of movement and lots of push from behind. My biggest problem is being able to keep up with the movement.

I frequently ride him in the morning and so I must remember to wake up my body before the ride - especially now that I am narrowing in on 60!

I still have to get out the pictures/video that I promised you,

Carol

Hi Carol, are you talking about the Ride Better blog? If you have other comments or questions, add them to one of the Ride Better blog entries (rather than the general box as a new blog such as you've done here) so I will see them for sure. Each week I respond to one contributor's questions with some more helpful suggestions. Some weeks there aren't any questions and I have to invent a new topic based on a recent clinic or client!
