Please add my name for the Bucas calendar. Belinda Trussel gave a great recommendation for the Bucas 'wick away' blanket at the Dec 4, 2010 Sat clinic.
Thanks, Pam Hope

Thank you for the welcome and the kind words. I love photography and I love horses so a combination of the two comes natural. It is a pleasure to be a part of this community!

Thanks for the kind words. We are currently hand-grazing twice daily for 3.5 weeks and then she can be turned out in a small paddock for 1 month. After that, she can be slowly started back into work.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm not a Facebook person but this site sounded interesting. Looking forward to interacting with the horse community. My younger mare just came back from New Bolton after colic surgery (for the second time). They do tug at our hearts...:) Trying to keep looking on the bright side. Maybe some thoughts from others in the same situation would help.

Thank you for the welcome. Looking ahead to learning a lot here! Mostly I have many questions - not many "answers" as my horse experience is very limited.
Let me start with:
1. How do I upload a photo from Picasa3 to use as a profile photo here? Have opened a Google gmail account, using the photo email add here, but it does not get here.
2. Ditto for videos in YouTube? How can do I give people access to my videos?

Hi Barnmice. Thanks for the message. I have a lot to say about soring. It's a horrific practice that is the main form of "training" Tennessee Walking Horses for the show ring in certain circles. I'll post my website and blog so people can start learning more. Thanks again for writing!

Hello B. A. It's been to long away from the horse world; I really liked this site you have a lot of knowledgeable people sharing their views. Thank you, Nancy

The fawn was orphaned at a few days old and we found her wandering around the horse paddocks. We figure the dogs next door chased her mom off. Kate just took to her right away. We fed her sheep's milk replacer until she was 6 months. She lived in the house for about 3 weeks and then insisted on sleeping in the woods. She comes and goes as she wants and in the summer she comes in the house and lays on the cool floor. They play together and sleep together but Pip is a wild deer with wild deer friends. It's a pretty special relationship. They've also been on Ellen's web site. I've attached a picture of them taken this spring.
