Hi Jane, I just loved your quote 'the more correctly you sit, the better your aids are'. I couldn't agree more! Your mention of muscle memory is really good to hear. Since my area isn't riding instruction, but dryland training my limit in a clinic would be to recommend un-mounted exercises for strength and muscle memory of the same issues you drew out in this video- I really enjoyed the mounted exercises you gave. I'll probably suggest them the next time I see similar issues.

What a lovely, simple, yet highly effective rider training technique. Thankyou so very much for taking the time to share your knowledge and intuition with us. I will certainly be trying this exercise when I ride again tomorrow!

That's great, Guys! Trying to add another one as we speak!
Jane,
I can't thank you enough for all of your advice. I agree with Barbara as you have also focused on my fault with my right shoulder as well!
Your explanations are so easy to understand and logical... can't wait for more!

Jane, you must have a video camera hidden in our arena, because you zeroed right in on two of my faults!
You mentioned half pass at the beginning of the video. I'm wondering how the rider should position their shoulders and their hips, as the horse is moving laterally, but also forward.
Thanks!
