Rococo at 5-6 months--Great Movement!

Rococo is an extremely expressive and elegant gelding by the fabulous 17 hh Dutch Warmblood/Friesian stallion, *Nico, out of a talented 16:3 hh Dutch Warmblood-looking TBx mare, Tarimasu. This elegant sporthorse gelding is gorgeous...not to mention a GREAT mover with balanced temperament and conformation. He also has wonderful trainability and sporthorse potential for a variety of disciplines.

Rococo stands close to 15 hh as a yearling, and we expect that he will mature around 16:3. Unlike many young horses, Rococo has maintained excellent balance and proportion in his conformation.

He is friendly and people oriented, with high trainability. (He comes running when we call!) He enjoys attention, being brushed, braiding, etc. He stands well for the farrier, vet, blanketing, etc. He is worked with regularly on young-horse lessons, such as leading, light lunging, moving from pressure, and exposure to a variety of objects and items. We use natural horsemanship philosophy and techniques with our horses. We expect that the transition to riding (just a few short months away) will be smooth and easy because of this groundwork coupled with his calm gelding temperament.

*Nico, the sire, has produced foals with incredible presence, flawless conformation, great soundness, and amazing movement, who have been successful in shows, the dressage circuit, and eventing...most shown by amateur-owners. *Nico continues to make his mark on the sporthorse world through his incredible offspring. (You can view photos of Nico at www.nicopintostallion.com)Through Nico, Rococo traces his lineage back to the famous Dutch Warmblood, Samber, and is strongly bred on the top and bottom lines of his pedigree.

Rococo's dam, Tarimasu (16:2+ hh), had an illustrious career on the A show circuit and combines correct movement and great jumping ability with a quiet mind. Most recently Tarimasu has been used as a safe mount for a D1 pony clubber. She is sound and has a solid temperament. Her lineage traces back to famous horses such as Bold Ruler.

In short, this flashy dark bay gelding with a white sock combines incredible movement with natural balance, elasticity, suspension, and presence. He is a top-notch prospect for high level dressage or eventing. He has the self-carriage and movement to be successful in the dressage ring, along with the shoulder, jumping bloodlines, and ground-covering gallop necessary for competitive eventing. He also has the movement and sensibility to become a competitive show hunter.
