Just for fun!

Get that scanner working! Or if you don't have access to a scanner, try taking a digital photo of an old print.

I saw this thread a couple of days ago, and thought What A FUN Idea!!
So I rushed to find a suitable picture … then despaired again and again over not being able to figure out how to get the actual picture to show up on the post!!
( …I know .. I know ….duhhhhhhh!! …lol..)
I’m still struggling and not sure YET if I have it right.

But … if the picture shows up … it’s me and my best friend “Donny”
I rode him 24/7 (or as often as I could slip out and GO ) I don’t recall eer having to have help with his bridle, as you can see …no saddle …lol … I think I was 6 at the time
( I don’t really want to say how old that piccie is …lol )

that's gorgeous! thanks for persevering :-)
....*laughing* ..... I don't know about "gorgeous" ... but it did bring loads of good / fun memories to mind!!
And I sincerely hope others will share their early days piccies with us.
Thanks Ottilie ... for creating this thread!!

He he, yeah I was pretty keen!
Thanks for posting, Barby, I hope it catches on, too.
I might dig out an old photo of my first 'real' pony friend. It's nice to bring back happy memories of how it all started :-)

Toby Keith Urban, 22, Jennifer Lamm, 44... my first pony.... we are still together.... Toby taught me everything I know... :) Love my HORSE!! He's 14.2 so we call him a pony sometimes, but not to his beautiful roman face.
Jennifer, thanks for posting that, Toby is adorable! He has an interesting name :-) did you know the singer Keith Urban was originally from New Zealand?
No I didn't..... thanks for telling me and for thinking Toby is adorable... he got sneered at alot when I first got him for being unattractive... to me he is the bestest in the whole world.... I figured he needed a fancy name... he came with Toby.... so I gave him middle name Keith for Toby Keith and then Keith Urban, LOL.... now he has a fancy name....

your first pony is remarkable.... :) he looks safe and not too dangerous for a first pony.

Here's a pic of my first pony Night Life, a.k.a. Cole. I got him when I was nine and had him for two years. We did everything together, from jumping and dressage to bareback and team penning( as you can see in the picture). He was great and I learned so much from him. I will never forget my first pony!!!
Thanks for posting your photo, Catherine, Cole sounds like the perfect versatile first pony, and looking at your recent achievements, he obviously gave you a great grounding to become a super dressage star! Congratulations on qualifying for the NAJYRC and good luck with selection. I went to NAJYRC once, as a YR (dressage) for Australia (years ago!) - unfortunately the horse I was riding got injured on the trip to Chicago and we had to withdraw :-( but that's another story...
He looks like he really enjoyed his job..... and took good care of you....
