HelloOOooo Everyone!!
…*waving* …

Recently, I came across this filly, and …well….
Knowing the caliber of Horse People here in Barnmice, and how much I Sincerely Esteem All Of You ….
I wondered if I could prevail on EVERYONE to take a look at this (not yet weaned) filly I’m interested in buying and Critique her for me.

I’m going to post several pictures of her at various stages … please take a look .. I’d LOVE to Know what You think!!
I wish I had “Better” pics of her, but … these are the best of the 130 or so that the owners have sent …lol

I’m just looking for your “Honest” Opinions, Over all Impressions, or maybe just some “Intuitive” Best Guess Thoughts??

She was born March 23rd of this year .. And currently stands 13.3
She’s buckskin, but when her owners shaved her, as you can see she’s now
a dark gurulla(?) colour
Also regarding her shaving, the owners admitted doing a really bad job around her pasterns and fetlocks.
So I don’t think they’re thick or as odd, as they appear … I think it’s hair …lol

Her sire is a 15.2 cremello AQHA, her dam is a 16.3 Shire

Soooooo …. What do You All Think of This Filly??

And Thanks in advance for Any and All comments you care to make.

Thanks Everyone …

For taking the time to share Your critiques of this filly.
I have to say …
In searching for a horse(s) ... I’m not afraid to make my own decision.
…but ... it's easy to get my "I Want'er" going" and make my decision to "Buy" based on the "Cute" factor, as opposed to the "Reality" factor.
( yup Geoffrey ... you hit THAT nail Bang On ...lol )

But being on my own to make a decision like this … well … it’s Nothing like asking, and getting a Critique From All Of YOU!!!

Honestly …. Barnmice Continues to Just Amaze me!!!
( … yes … Ok … *laughing* … I admit to having LARGE doses of Hero worship for Most the members In here!! … but my gosh!! .. Look at the Experience, the Success, the Over All Credibility of the "People" in this place!!! )

Getting the opinions of members in Barnmice ...it's like having your own Professional "Team" …. helping you Look At .. Look For ... and See .. Things that I might have Totally missed!!

I Just want EVERYONE to know How much I Sincerely Appreciate You taking time from your Busy schedules .. To take a look at this filly, and offer up your insights!!!

I make my “Buy” or “Not Buy” decision July25th!! :-)
If Anyone happens to think of anything else regarding this filly ...
Please Do Share!!

Yeah I think it's fair to say that it's not every day one gets William Micklem's personal opinion on a horse you are thinking of buying! Barnmice is certainly amazing! The other thing of course which may or may not have been said already is that there is no reason why you can't do dressage with a 'chunky' horse. I don't know much about American breeds I have to say, but cobs can be beautiful movers.(subliminal voice - 'go on Barby, buy that horse, you know you want to...!'. Keep us posted :-)
This isn't like me..in writing I tend to talk a bit too much BUT
I Just like her! All the way to her tail....It's neat how the white outlines the darker colors.
NOt a good reason to buy a horse but I just like her.
......*Great Big Beaming Smile* .....
...lol ... Aren't You a doll for taking time to look and share!!
I Appreciate it!!!
Thanks Shirley!!!!

Hi Barbara......I must say that the thing I love most about the pictures of this filly, is her wonderful expression. She looks to have such a sweet, kind eye, and a "life is good....let's get at it" attitude!

Good luck with your decision (although....should she pass the vet check....I think you may have made your decision already :)

Best wishes
Nora
Awwwwwwww Thanks Nora!!!
I appreciate that critique ... thanks for taking a minute to share your thoughts!!
And Yup, that's in line with the way I view her Expression!!
..... erm .... Yes, Vet check ...
and Mr. Micklem says I MUST humour him and find a "Professional" to take a look at her.
So Of Course I WILL ....THEN I'll make the final "Buy" or Not to Buy" decision!!

hi just to let u know wat i think about the filly. she looks very nice , nice colour, looking at the pictures her bum is very high but that is just a minnor detail she has a lot of growing up to do! The thing that i like about it in the pics her ears r pricked forward in every one of them she seems very curios of wats going on and looks a little bit cheeky nice little filly.
Hi Barbara,

I really like her expression and solid build. I think she may finish a tad butt-high -- but she may surprise us there. It's hard to know which parent she'll take after on that count. I would not use her current growth stage as an indicator of that, since babies usually grow in one direction at a time! I think she will suit your purposes as an all-rounder very well and hope that her stout physique will translate into soundness for you. If she's priced well for your budget, I'd say it's a no-brainer -- go get her!!!

Best,
Kendra
....*frustrated sighs* .....
Yes, she is REALLY butt-high ... I do worry about her front end catching up to her hind end.
And then there's her thick throat latch .....*worries* ....
But as you say Kendra, I'm hoping for "Versatility" and I thnk she will be Ok with "All-Rounder" in mind.
I LIKE what you said regarding her "stoutness" ... THAT Indeed is what I'm looking for from the Draftie cross ... "Stout Physic" that will translate into (crossing fingers) ... "Soundness"
Thanks Muchly for taking time to comment Kendra ... I LIKE the way YOUR head works " If she's priced well for your budget, I'd say it's a no-brainer -- go get her!!!
....*gives ya that thumbs up sign* ....

Hi Barb

I have been away in Europe for a couple of weeks and have just seen your e-mail. I agree with everyone, she seems to be a nice filly. Don't forget no horse is perfect, they all have flaws. I especially like her profile from behind. She has a nice conformation. The only thing I see (I am not well versed in confirmation) is that she might be a bit heavy on the forehand. But all in all she looks very nice. Unfortunately we never can tell.
