Hello everyone.I am happy to have found a website such as this one I am in need of prayers right now my funds are very low and I have a small rescue facility here in surrey bc. I am in need of hay and grain and I am not certain where it will come from i am going through a real nasty seperation and I have so many other bills that have piled up i ahve been praying and talking to god day and night and i do know he listens but i still feel i will lose all my ANGELS! I was wondering if you could pray for my horses and myself i would literally curl up in a ball and die if i couldn't keep my animals.(horses) This is why i wake up every morning!Thank You Tammie guardian angel acres.

I fell in love with God and horses at the same place - Summer Camp! I returned each summer until I was old enough to be on staff. Ended up moving there as a young adult and worked with the horses for 2 years. I miss those days, and the camp has since shut down... but what great memories! I hope that my daughter will have as great of an experience as I did when she's old enough to go to camp!

She already has a love for horses at four years old. We run a Miniature Horse rescue and she is right in there!

Today, I am spreading the word for our new Fundraising project... very FUN t-shirts with the profits going to our Society. If you have a moment, please check out the website and spread the word to your friends!

Thanks so much!

Thanks Cyndy for your prayers. I was talking to my friend yesterday and she is having water troubles at her place and has decided to ask the girl to move her horses, knowing my friend she is soft hearted person and will change her mind no matter how hard the work. It was my friends' daughters who invited their friend to bring her horses there, I think it is the daughter's responsibility not their Mom's to help look after those horses. Anyway, God is already moving ie. my friends decision. I just pray that she would stand strong on her decision and that the younger people involved would step up and do what is right not just for the Mom but for the horses especially because they are usually the ones in these circumstances that get neglected or hurt.

Will pray for your friend, Cindy!

There is no way I could just leave my mare and not to anything to help! The area around the paddock and the barn were horribly overgrown with tall weeds, so in exchange for free board, I pulled weeds. I have the area all cleaned out now, and it feels good to have been able to help out. I also clean up the barn if it needs it. The stalls are not used, but the sliding door to the barn is left open for shelter, so I clean it when I go there. I love to help out. I hope the young person at your friend's place starts taking on more of the chores.

I think I'm going to contact a couple of barns and see if I can get in to tour them. I'm in no rush for one, but I want to make sure I check them out rather than wondering later on.

Cyndi, I want to encourage you in your decision to wait for God to show the barn you and your mare should be in. That is the best way to go. Don't feel bad about moving your mare around so much, unless she is showing signs of problems with her health for doing so. She accepts you as the leader and she will follow you wherever you take her. You do have a wonderful friend and I commend you for not taking her for granted. I have a friend who extended her generosity to a young person having family troubles who needed a place to board her 2 horses. But now she is feeling really used because all the chores are left up to my friend who is not that young anymore. Fences get broke, my friend has to fix it with no help from the owner. The owner didn't provide a water tub so my friend has to carry 2 five gallon buckets so they get some water. Fortunately the young person did supply hay and does come and ride once or twice a week, but that's it. I feel bad for my friend and I know her heart is in the right place, I just pray that this young person would realize what is happening and help my friend out with the physical labor. Also, my friend isn't saved but still knows God's grace by way of the 10 commandments taught to her at a young age. Please pray for her too.

I am very blessed indeed, for having a friend like this! One thing I didn't mention is that my friend will not take any money for board, so my horse is living there for free!! Again, a huge blessing from God through this wonderful lady.

The area the horses and donkey are in isn't huge, and I can't take advantage of my friend's generosity forever, so I know this arrangement is temporary. My friend says I can keep my horse at her place as long as I like, but I'm thinking that I might just keep her there over the winter. So now my search is on to find a barn that suits both me and my horse. I have one in mind, one that I am familiar with, but I want to make sure before I "commit". I feel absolutely horrible for moving my horse so often, so I want to make sure that the next place I take her is going to be long term. Please remember us in your prayers, that God would grant me wisdom and discernment in finding the right place. I want the barn I choose to be the one God wants us at. I pray that He will make the choice very clear to me, and that I will have peace about it.

That's an incredible story - you are very fortunate to have such a wonderful friend to help you in your times of need :-)

Yes, Zoi, I have had a very recent experience when the first thing I did was pray!! That goes back to my comment just before yours...the long story about how my horse ended up at a friend's house.

I had my mare at a barn close by. Something started to not feel right about the place a few months ago, and I should have listened to my 'gut' instincts. Again, long story, but on August 31st, I was asked to leave the barn because I made a request to the barn manager/owner regarding who my horse was in a field with. The barn manager more or less verbally abused me while I remained silent (by the grace of God!). I was given two weeks to move my mare. I had no place to take her (that I could afford), so I cried out to God, my "Daddy". I believe that Satan was trying his best to make me fall. That very same afternoon, I called this friend of mine, so that she could pray for me (she is a lady I met through work who has become a spiritual mentor to me), and that's when she offered to keep my horse at 'her' place (she has a horse and a donkey on her business property - it's a huge piece of land with greenhouses on it). I had no idea she even had a horse and donkey on her property! I was able to move my horse the very next morning!! God turned this awful situation into a real blessing. I think this was one of those times when the Holy Spirit interceded for me, because I was so upset, all I could say was, "Oh God, Oh God, Oh God!". And He heard me and answered me. Praise the Lord!!

As for me and my horse, we WILL serve the Lord!! :o)

Great story!! I can't think of any situations at the moment but I will be thinking about it. Also, I had an idea. You know the saying, "And as for me and my house, I will serve the Lord."? Well you can take out HOUSE, add HORSE and you get, "And as for me and my HORSE, I will serve the Lord." :) I am going to encouage you to finish any comment you leave any where with this phrase. On Barnmice, emails, letters, christmas cards (yes, its on its way!), anything!! Lets let the world know what we believe in. Another saying I like to end you sometimes is ,"Smile! God Loves You!!!". And He does, so lets let every one know!(hehe, this is goingto be comment #50-sorry off topic...)
Anyway, I have to go do homework. :(

Lexi-And as for me and my horse, I will serve the Lord-with all my heart soul and mind!! ~._=/>

Ironically writing this from religion class (shhhhh I'm supposed to be working on a project)

I love winter's beauty but I hate riding in winter. It's not the temperature that bother me so much, it's just, I can't practice very much because we're not aloud to get the horses sweaty in winter, as they aren't clipped.

And reining practise involves sweat, from both hrose and rider :P so I plan to spend the winter walking, jogging and loping a circle or two, which doesn't really keep me or the horse in shape...

Another experience I'd like to share, it was actually VERY scary but I found my reaction interesting, because even tho I'm religious, I don't often have it at the front of my mind..

I had a bit of a mishap with my horse, and it resulted in her FREAKING OUT running everywhere with the reins dragging and the western saddle hanging under her belly, and it was BAAAAAD, and as soon as she started to freak out, before thinking about anything else I found myself praying for her safety, but the words didnt form as much as the intention did. anyway, miraculously (considering the situation) she came out unharmed, I was relatively unharmed and my saddle was unharmed. It was actually the other horse in the arena that ended up lame (very sad)!

It made me realize that God is in my life more than I had thought, and how He does watch even if you're not as close with Him as you should be (I'm in that boat right now)

I kinda wanted to share that...has anyone else been in an urgent situation and the first thing they did was pray?
