Where and when are you showing?

And how are you doing so far? Anything to brag about yet?

Well, not wanting to sound too much like the proud parent, but Nick scored an 81% in a pony club dressage test on the weekend on his pony Peace.
He's getting ready to go to his first Royal Adelaide Show in September. Nick is turning 9 in July. He will be going in the hack and rider classes on Peace and his new pony Minty.
His mother and myself will be competing in the section 4's again trying for that elusive first ribbon, we've had second and third the last to years so we think we might be due!
Cheers Geoffrey
Yay for Nick! I think I was barely trotting at 9!
Post pics!!
One of my students hit her first dressage show on the weekend, first ever show for her horse too. They did really well for a first time out. I was super pleased with how my student handled the little bobbles in the ring!

Sadly I'm not showing (again) this year - being back in school money is precious. I really wanted to give a Second level dressage test a go this year. I'd considered going to one very close show, but his coggins test and my memberships would cost several times the entry fees so I decided to save that for an extra lesson with my coach!
I had gotten The Squirt's Coggins done and gotten memberships that would allow us to go to some dressage shows, in the hope of introducing the wee lad to the world of showing this year.

Alas it was not meant to be, as now we will be spending the season cleaning and bandaging a leg that looks like it has been through a shark attack. :( We are simply hoping that everything will heal well so that The Squirt will be able to train and show in the future (hopefully next year).
