Hi , I am Kathy, I am married with 2 lovely daughters and a long suffering husband. ( calls himself the horse widow) ! I have just one horse, well pony really, she is a gorgeous 13.3 Registered New Forest Mare. We also have a nutcase of a working cocker spaniel who we are breeding from this year!!
I am an equine artist and specialise in animal portraits. I produce beautiful commission portraits from your photographs. If you are local to the New Forest area , I will come out and meet your animal and take photographs if required. I also paint dogs, cats and other pets. I produce equine art of a more contemporary style. You can purhase original art, prints or cards. I also have a cafepress shop where you can purchase my art on many different items of clothing, mugs, caps etc. I am on facebook under Kathy Lewis Art, twitter under the same and run a blog where you can follow my work in progress and updates on exhibitions and shows.
If you would like to commission a portrait of your pet or horse, please contact via email where you can see previous examples, original art and price list.
You can follow my blog and see work in progress too! http://www.kathylewisart.blogspot.com

Hi Kathy, thanks for the nice comments on my picture - this is my fab mare who is 15 now and back to enjoying her jumping after 5 years off as a broodmare. I am also from UK but the other end a way up on East coast of Scotland. I love you work - you are very talented. I also enjoy drawing horses - but just for fun and my medium is pen and ink or pencil. I would love to master watercolour which I would love to take classes in - if ever I have the time. Maybe have to wait untill I'm an old dodderer!
Where in Hants are you ? I love your art work by the way. My Mum used to paint too, she worked in various mediums but she usually used pastilles for her Animal studies..she'd love to see your work - I will forward your site to her.
