OMG, what a great site...

Hello everyone. I'm Jennifer. I live in L.A., CA. I have had my first horse Toby, who is 28 now for five years... he's my first horse. I've taken lessons or my horse has been in lessons with a fantastic coach for the entire 5 years.... I also adopted a wild mustang colt at 2 months old... he's an orphan, and he's 4 now and huge and challenging for me..... however, Mr. Irwin, just changed my life around not 4 months ago with his book, Horses Don't Lie, that led me to Statelinetack.com videos that led me to here somehow when a friend referred me to the blog.

Eventhough my trainer was trying to show me body language, I really got it when Chris demonstrated on his videos how to speak horse.

I have never been so happy. Starting to have a relationship with my mustang, and communicating has really brought me to a better level of achievement and not so much frustration. I'd been jumped on by my colt to a pretty bad injury..... Steve, my trainer told me, "you are pushing him onto you"..... Chris told me, "don't look at the horses eyes and push him with your navel"..... I just think Chris has a unique gift in being patient enough to explain things and the videos are fantastic and just really really changed my life with my Oliver..... thank you so much Chris.... I am so thankful.

I am a big blogger so I'll be on frequently if you guys don't mind and will love to learn, listen, read and help as much as I can.

Plus I love to take photos and do contests and stuff....

Hello and thanks for letting me in your group.

Hi Jennifer, good to see you on here, yes it is a friendly and informative site. I also have an older horse he is 31 now and looks great, although he does have some arthritic stiffness when walking. He does get wreckless at times and forget his age when I turn the younger ones in with him for company and to help chow down the pasture.
My very first horse back in the 50's was a wildie that was born in a wild horse herd that was running loose in an Indian reserve back then which was an Island between Canada and USA. He was a great horse for us kids that were always pestering him.
So blog away girl I will be watching for your posts.
Welcome Jennifer - can't wait to read your blog! :)
Welcome. Your horse is very cute!
