Bear's getting today off ... just too hot and humid and temps are supposed to be better tomorrow anyway. I think he'll appreciate the time off ...

well i haven't been riding all week :(. its either raining cats and dogs, or i've been at work till late and i've had too much to do when i get home to be able to get any work in with delphi. i have another training show next sun, so this week had better be better. of course today, sat, i 'm at work again, and it's sunny.....

I have to venture into the heat and go feed. Tomorrow it will be in the 100's and it doesn't matter what time a day it is, the humidity kills you. I guess that is payment for being on the Chesapeake! My horse will have an easy weekend.

I'm excited to see all the new members of our Hanoverian Lovers group and look forward to hearing stories of your Hano exploits. I've sent in my application to join the Hanoverian association in Canada ... I really want to learn more about this breed.

I enjoyed a lovely ride on Bear today, inspite of the heat. He is patiently waiting for me to catch up in my training so we can really go places and he can show off all his training. ;-) He also planted a kiss on the barn dog who in response just rolled over as if waiting for Bear to scratch her tummy too. It was very cute ...

Scarlet was a star. She went to her 3rd recognized show and won her First 3 class with a 65.143. A deer walked by the dressage ring and she decided to stay focused and ignore it! We made some mistakes and the judge said if we get her more off the forehand we should start getting more 8's. We are working on it.

well my young lovely hanoverian 4 yr old went out in the winter and wowed me with a 64% at the next level up and a 2nd overall for the class. she was spunky-read- bucking, leaping about, at the beginning of our 20 min warm up, but after she figured out it was just a dressage show, she settled and didn't do too badly!! she's a star!
