Ah, yes, Joe.  Even during the sixties all the hippie freaks would look at the pictures of Jesus, long haired and bearded, saying many of the things we were saying, walking around barefoot or in sandals with no home of his own, and we realized that yes, we were right.  It did not matter if we were Christian, Buddhist or atheists, Jesus rocked. 

I am afraid we never saw him as a biker though.  Good call.

   He was a lot like you and me. The government didn't like him. The church thought he was weird. His friends were few. What friends he had, denied him. He was persecuted by hypocrites. He hung around with people like you and me, not the goody-two-shoes Pharisces.

Yes, if Jesus were on this earth in the flesh he would be next to you on his Harley telling you he loved you ... enough to die for you.

Hello to All,

I was truly sorry to hear of Marti's passing. She was a long time community member and added so much here through her participation and her creation of groups such as this, where people could come together to share their personal stories among supportive friends.

Marty will be truly missed and my heart goes out to her family and friends at this very difficult time.

We will keep Marti's groups up and running in her honour and I am certain they will continue to be a source of support and friendship, as she hoped they would be.

Marti Passed away last Sunday......
She was with her husband on a motorcycle and they had an accident. She was a very unselfish and loving person. Please say a prayer for her here so that she may know that she is loved and missed.....

I don't know what else to say right now but I do have more information if anyone wants to get ahold of me..... I am just sort of in a funk right now and not thinking clearly, but wanted her friends here on BM to know of our loss.

I am reading The Essential Koran, now. I have several Moslem friends, some here in California and several in Libya. I feel like I want to know more about their beliefs. Very fascinating. Do you know they accept Abraham, Moses, Jesus, etc as well as Mohammed?

jFor once I am not depressed in November, due to med change by doc. Yeah!! We put up our Christmas tree yesterday. I am even looking forward to all the holidays. Yeah!

Hi... I don't put a name to anything and that helps me stay spiritual... you guys think a lot like me..... and religion is a creation of man to control other humans...... in my opinion. Marti, read Angels and Demons... :) it is sooooo goood..... I loved the Davinci Code too..... another theory that is so right on.....
