there's a lunging technique i always forget the name of but can do it perfectly and it killing me to keep forgetting the name it where you lunge your horse around the pen till it drops its head and chews i would like it if someone can remind me what the name is thanx

Are you thinking of round-penning? If you post this in Coaches Corner, there are lots of coaches there, so one of them will probably know the name, if that's not it.
I'm not sure, I don't really know the technique, but wonder if that's what "joining up" is?

I learned that from the Horse Whisperer, that was how he broke the horses in the round pen, they ran around him and he pushed them, lightly, until the began,
1 twitching the ears
2 dropping the head
3 licking
it showed him they gave him their respect.
then he turned his back and they joined-up by walking towards him.
yeah that's what learned too!
