Lest we foget - any of you trying to reach me in the past 2 months or so, please excuse my lack of response.  I was burned really bad by viruses and malicious infections in late March, that it knocked me way out of contact until about 10 days ago.  I extend my regrets.

Cindy J - In 1996 at age 57 I was required to do a treadmill test; only it was while running.  With the speed of the machine increasing to the very extreme limits of what I could do!  The result, coupled with other tests, was that there were 5 blockages in my arteries, some above 95%.  This was followed with by-pass surgery which made quite a significant difference in my "quality" of life.  Certainly not trying to "sell" you anything - you're the final judge.  But modern medicine has come a long way even since the 90s!

This group is fun and filled with a lot of information as we all have lived enough years to  have had several horsey experience!

Hi Joe, welcome to the old fogies group.

We just can't give up the horses, can we.

Hi  Joe!  We can all welcome you to the group!  Where do you live?  We seem to be from all over the place but the information is the same and the support is worth a million bucks!

I am getting so senile I can't even post to the correct person's name.  I found a site on Barnmice that has not been active since around 2009.  It was called something about being older than 60.  I sent a note to get them to join us as it appears we are all with a group that posts a lot of messages.

Cindy!  What is the doctor being understanding about if it is not too personal.  I am looking for a doctor who says I don't have to have a colonoscopy done!  No luck so far!

Consult went well, good understanding doctor.  But.....they can't go ahead with it until I have me heart stress test June 21.  Means walking as fast as they make me on a treadmill, never done that before, hope my heart holds up really good and doesn't have any blockages.

Lots of riders coming around, keeping my horses busy, I'm thankful, they are enjoying the lovely new grass a little too much.  Gotta make repairs to some stalls in our barn so I can bring them in for at least an hour a day.

Hey Shirley!  You must have the consult results by now!  Hope it is good news.  I need to get that test done for me also.  I am a chicken for stuff like that.  Sometimes I don't want to know if there is something wrong.  Head in the sand thinking.

Pekoe had a ride yesterday with the bo.  She is also the coach!  3 miles and all sound.  He is offering canter.  He will be put in with a mare sometime this week.   He hates the girls but he managed to live through 4 years of being out with a mare a few years ago.  I think he gets confused as they love him for 7 days out of every 21 days.  That turn out area is like his dry lot.  It also boasts a shade tree, a runin, hydrant and hay at all times. It is as hot as Hades today!   He has lived outside before and he will have a choice now!  Work has slowed me down about getting to see him but no money, tough to keep a horse. I hope to ride tomorrow so will post anything new!  Cheers!

I have spot in my mind and heart for this group!  We have shared a lot in the last few weeks.  He knows he has a cheering section for sure!  I have a session with him tomorrow outside and then he has a massage booked.  I believe there will be pictures to come!

I can't spell anything other than bum for the consult.  Not the test but a talk only?  Keep us close to you and know we are here!
