Hi Frank! I still have not tried it as I erased the link to it. Old age is grand. Can you send me the link and I can take it from there.

Was looking for a way to accesss the "experimental" Barnmice site but not having any luck. Does anyone have any ideas? Thought I signed up but that isn't helping either. No rush, gotta go see my horse!

Fully retired. My horse is my main priority - after my "bride" of 49 years! I call him Gitano(HEE-tahnoh, Spanish for gypsy) We have 2 granddaughters, 4 and 2. He lives about 9 miles outside of town. We get together a good 6 days out of 7 often more.. Since he has no "job", I exercise him for about 30 minutes every day depending on heat and humidity which can both be brutal around here! Longeing is the way I give him workouts, mixing in traveling circles, target training and low obstacle jumps - 12 to 18 inches high; fallen trees and such. I get "worked out", too because of the walking involved. He has 4 acres all to himself. But his pals are up close, just over the fences. He tends to steal any pasture pal's feed AND eat his own. I have to keep an eye on his weight. Last fall he was over 1050. For now he's clocking in at 935 lbs, 15hh, 9 yo. Vet said that was about normal for his size and age. Posted 2 photos here earlier today one from June, one from August. Ground tied, indoors and out. One looks darker because he had just been hosed off.

Thank goodness you are still there to read my email. Me also. I never did know who made up the phrase about getting old and taking care of themselves. I thought it was mine but you can borrow it. I have some of the exercises I set for myself . Took the day off from them. I am also working selling ad space for a regional farm paper and that takes time. How about you?

Thaks, Gail.
I turned 71 in Aug.. Had I known I would live to be this old, I would have taken better care of myself! I'm short on nerve as well. Guess we gotta get in there and do what we must! So any members here that would like to give me some reminders, hey ... don't hesitate!

Hi Frank! Wonder of wonders! We finally have a member in this group who is older than me. I did the 66 thing at the beginning of this month. We had very humid weather here in Ontario so, not liking the heat, I did not ride at all. Now the cooler weather is here and I have lost my fitness and a bit of my nerve. I have a Rocky and I am working on the weights and stationery bike. Hope to get back at it soon.

Hi all! Thanks for letting me in! Don't know if you can rightly call me a "rider" as it's been over two years since I sat in a saddle with a horse under it; due to medical "stuff". It's been very close to 60 years since I did any regular riding, on rented horses, in NY's Central Park. A bit later, in my early 20s, tried my hand at rodeo. Entered two events: bareback bronc and bull riding twice each. It doesn't take very long to decide if you'll continue with these activities! More recently, six yrs ago, took on the gentling of an adopted BLM Mustang. He was 3, me 65. It's turned out very well for both of us, the partnership going strong! Since the weather around north Florida is just great lately, have begun to re-familiarize Gitano with tack. Don't know why I won't be riding in a few days.

I'm well over 60 and I trained my 22 year old Arabian mare to drive for my girlfriend's wedding which was held 8/1/09.

Here we are training RED VIXEN (Falcontep x My Ciara by The Egyptian Prince)...

This picture was taken during the wedding...
