I agree with Queenrider and Marilyn that getting our horses out to all breed shows and strutting their stuff and talent. That is how we are going to get the general public to know about the Canadian Horse and their versatility.
And Sherry , the Canadian Horse Breeders Association group that handles registrations ect.. HAS a set of show rules that can be down loaded off their web site . I have a copy.
Equine Canada has a complete set of rules for different breeds. There is no listing for Canadians, just saddlebreds, arabs, hackneys, warmbloods, welsh, TBs, etc. This would be a first step. We need a championship show! Perhaps the final show of the Canadian show season (with the Merrick Fair and the Acton Fair as the first two shows) The final show would be the championship show! We need approved judge(s) as well. We have to think big!
