thank you Frances, Queenrider, and Laura, for the welcome! At 58, I'm am so-o-o- a rookie, and it's great to meet other folks that own these little iron wonders! When I was young, I dreamed of owning my own horse;in 2010, I had major cancer, survived it, but the chemo disabled me; needing something to keep going, the horse dream resurfaced, and I truly believe God brought this horse into my life;people don't just give away purebred Canadians, yet I was given Bis as a birthday present in August! He has kept me from just giving up due to the chemo, but how do you stay away from such a fantastic creature? He's my medicine!

Welcome Tony. I have only had my little mare for just over a year, and she is like having a big dog rather than a horse. So smart, and willing to please. No one can believe what she can do even though she is still a 'baby'. She loves to play with the kids, and everything to her is a puzzle or a game.
We are going to back her in the spring when she turns 2, and I can imagine she will take it all in stride like everything else.
Congratulations on your new Canadian, and welcome to the group! :)
