I throw mine into the washing machine with Leather Therapy Laundry solution and then I use Leather Therapy Rinse for the rinse cycle.  I do this for all washable horsey stuff.  I use this combo for halters, blankets, saddle pads.

Hey I have a question for every one. I have a large number of nylon halters that have become dirty and was wondering if anyone knows of a way to get them clean again. I have put them in my washing machine and washed them with Laundry soap but they still have not come clean. Any suggestions?

Thats great Queen Rider. I'm not sure what the score means yet as I am just beginning Dressage lessons but it sure impressed me. It's hard doing any kind of riding in this drizzly weather. Good for you and Scooter for sticking it out.

Scooter did well at the Centreline Bronze dressage show on Sunday.  He got 1st for Training 2 with 72% and 2nd for Training 3 with 69%.  He didn't seem to mind the pouring rain either.

Thanks girls for you comments. It's taken work for us to get to this point. More so on my part. Love doing it . Horse planter came from TSC. Maybe one day Laura we could hook up with our horses at the same event. You too Sherry.

Just another shameless brag from me but here is another exhibit we Did at the Wainfleet Country Fair on September 23rd. The local schools bused the kids to the Fair for the day and we had the oppertunity to show off our Canadian Mare and hand out breed info to the Teachers and children to take home. We nearly got thru the day before it downpoured and we had to leave for safety sake. It was still worth the trouble of trailering, set up and preparing the horses.

Just a correction to one of my last post. The other group was Called CHBO ( Canadian Horse Breeders of Ontario) which was in exsistance in 2007 because I still have a calender from them. I am not sure when it disbanded. Donna Hoffman would know. The show rules are under EVENTS of the Canadian Horse Breeders Association Le Cheval Canadien.

I agree with Queenrider and Marilyn that getting our horses out to all breed shows and strutting their stuff and talent. That is how we are going to get the general public to know about the Canadian Horse and their versatility.

And Sherry , the Canadian Horse Breeders Association group that handles registrations ect.. HAS a set of show rules that can be down loaded off their web site . I have a copy.

I too think that getting the Canadians out showing with the competition (and beating them!) is excellent way to show case the breed. This would help develop a market for youngstock and breeders as well.  Even though it was only a small Bronze show my Scooter stood out in the crowd and many people commented on his quality and temperament.  Many people came over to pat him and he gently searched pockets for treats.  He was a great ambassador for his breed.  He also enjoyed all the attention!

Equine Canada has a complete set of rules for different breeds. There is no listing for Canadians, just saddlebreds, arabs, hackneys, warmbloods, welsh, TBs, etc.  This would be a first step.  We need a championship show! Perhaps the final show of the Canadian show season (with the Merrick Fair and the Acton Fair as the first two shows)  The final show would be the championship show!  We need approved judge(s) as well. We have to think big!
