A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
I have been riding off and on for the last 20+ years, I don't own my own now, but I have owned horses in the past. I am an advocate for Plus Riders and do what I can to assist plus riders finding barns that are acceptable.
Along with weekly lessons and working full time, I am an active member of Timmins Porcupine Search & Rescue, as a board member, and active search team member. I am living breathing proof that just because you are fluffy doesn't mean your out of shape!
Do you have any pets?

Back on Track #2

Well time to get caught up. Last week's was a good start to all this, but maybe now it's time to get this figured out.

Three weeks ago was one of our most successful lunge sessions. Blue is a great horse especially when it comes to me learning things, she's very forgiving if I do anything wrong, which is great in a partnership.…

Back on Track #1

It's been a long time since I've written a blog on here, things have gotten crazy busy, but in a great way.  After a very long winter in Northern Ontario that had all of the residents thinking that maybe, just maybe it would never end, it did.  We still got snow on June 3rd, but it didn't stay!

I am absolutely dumbfounded by the amount of people who are not prepared for situations where your pets need to be evacuated, or that there is some form of contingincy plan.

I am going to give some basic information on what you need to do to be ready :)

First and foremost, since this is a horse forum, I'll start…

I have feet!

I know, I know, I was born with them. But for most of my life I've been a plus person. I've ranged everywhere from 180 to 356 at my highest, I'm around the 260 mark right now, give or take a pound or 5 depending on the day. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw more than just my toes when I looked down. Well, yesterday I looked down, and not only did I have toes... but I had feet and ankles!

I think this has alot to do with the fact that I have been riding once a week for the…
