My little QH mare, Molly, came to me last spring with a big bump on her shoulder that my vet and I just assumed was an old (and cold) injury. After about a month, it opened up and became a nasty weeping thing. Even after it was operated on, it is still active. Still fuming

Thanks for the commiseration. In hind sight, he did not look at it when I brought it in (I should have insisted) and simply wrote down the info. I gave him and then later said it was false. Since the blanket is MIA, there is nothing I can do to repudiate his claims that it was not in good shape and not the type I said it was....I would rather have donated it to a horse charity than have this happen.

Still fuming

I had a very nasty experience lately with an established tack store. Took in a nearly new expensive blanket to sell on consignment and dropped in a few weeks later to be told the blanket was NOT what I said it was and was sold for $40. The owner came close to accusing me of lying. I was so stunned, I left, but not before he volunteered to get it back and call me. What a surprise; I have heard nothing.
