Good Gracious Jan, you will have to take a vacation when these next 2 weeks are gone. You have got a lot on your plate now. Hope all goes well for you and the shows.
Hi Lorraine, welcome to the "over the hill gang" lol we are all a pretty friendly and easy to get along with bunch. I don't think that there have been any real fights yet.
Sorry, Jenny (and everyone else)! On my side of things the competition season's started, so between my own horses and my clients I'm run off my feet right now, so staying with the forums and groups is much harder. Given Nuke's colic surgery on top of that and I'm just barely treading water!
Right now I'm putting off unloading the d/w, vacuuming, and folding laundry, because it's more fun on Barnmice than doing any of those things! I have to get a bunch done as Chicago is looming on the horizon - Nathan shipped out to Toronto on Monday and has arrived in good shape, Phil flies to Chicago on Sunday to meet him there, and I meet both of them and our groom on Tuesday. The jog is Thursday and the competition runs Friday through Sunday. Flying home will take all day Monday, and I have house and barn guests arriving on Wednesday for a show which starts the following weekend, in which I'm also riding...
If we're not riding I hope we're enjoying our gardening, our dogs, perhaps even our children and our partners...as the weather improves it's harder to spend time in the house...
Hi Lorraine! I'll say welcome even though I'm not the hostess. We were chatting a lot at first but it seems to have slowed down the last few days. Maybe you'll get us going again!
Hi new here.. look forward to chatting... I am turning 50 this year and of course because I am around horses am preserving well on the outside, despite my body letting me know on the inside that I am getting old lol. anyway I help hubby run a small boarding facility, ride western (if hubby tacks up) english if I have to tack up.... I lost my riding companion nearly 1 yr ago today, my steady eddy, Jake (in the picture) and trying to work with my new girl Jass. I just ride for fun, not into the showing thing.. so look forward to being part of this community lorraine
thanks everyone. have to say I love what I do. have so many ideas running through my head on what I want to paint or draw. get to play with these ideas between commissions.
hoping to get back on Mac this weekend, who knows it can be my mothers day present (this sunday) to my self :)
I love your style, and subjects. I especially love the one that is a rear view of a saddled horse with the cowgirl, (a rear view as well) at the side of the horse...it is soooo, true of what we see on the trail.
hey guys just had my interview published on the ezine magazine the equinest. Its a series of interview with equine artists. would love it if you have time to have a look and leave a comment at the bottom of the page.
