Wow, you guys are all over!

Mexico: Ha ha! No, I'm not drinking, I'm working my poor buns off teaching sixth graders. I'm in a desert city, 4 hours from the nearest beach and in a war zone. ... Though I do have a very nice spot to do my marking and planning, check it out if you feel like it:

Eventing: I've never done it but always wanted to. Amber is young, healthy, and pretty game for anything, so I would like to try. I've been thinking of shipping to Foxcroft (for those of you in the Toronton area that know where that is) but even though it's very close, weekly trailering is more than I can afford right now.

The Taylors took it over almost 2 years ago I believe. I went there from Tallery Stables in Guelph where I lessoned with Kristen Sherlock.

It's really growing at THEC, and it's pretty much multidic. from H/J to Dress. to West. Show and Pleasure. Turn out is anywhere from 4 to 8-10 in herd depending on paddock, they are building more paddocks as we speak. It's a huge facility. They do indoor and outdoor board. Not sure on the head count, 25? OMG, you are into Eventing???? LOVE IT!
Holly mainly Hunter/Jumper coach, but there is Camilla the dressage coach which I think does eventing...plus you can bring your own coach in I'm sure for any disciplines they do not offer coaching in. Send them an email...

Taylor Hills looks like a lovely place. I don't know why I haven't noticed it, is it new, or is it west of Hwy 6? How many horses are there? How many horses are turned out together? Does she teach eventing at all?

ARGh! Mexico - I'm in the southern interior of BC, and we still have snow! We had a long cold winter, with more weather-related interruptions than I can remember...

Oh well, I am riding, and you're just sitting in the sun drinking really yummy things...

I was just wondering where you all are geographicaly? I saw lots of comments about OEF, so are we all in southern Ontario?

My horse is at the north edge of Burlington, really closer to Milton. I am currently in Mexico and missing her horribly, flying home every chance I get to be with her.

I am learning so much through barn mice and other sites! I used to think the only way to ride was through lessons (boring after 10 years!) or rental trail riding. I did not realize there were so many options out there! Now I know I will one day have my own horse, hopefully a rescue, and the two of us will just plod along!
