It sounds like you are acting proactively, good for you.
I was fortunate in a way, I could afford to support all my horses until it was time to put them down, and I could afford the vet. Of course I couldn't afford a lot of other things. In 40 some years the only time I've been in a beauty salon was one with a consignment tack store in the back. Today I can't afford to support anyhorses here in the USA and I have my own land, just not much grazing.
May you get a good paying job soon!
I've been busy getting training and going to school this last month. The goal is to find a part time job in todays market. Need to find some income to support my horses and me throughout retirement in 4 years. Was a stay at home mom throughout my working years and my Canada pension is under $100 a month not enough to support 4 horses. Albeit one will be passing on in the next 3 years, but still there will be 3. I have an offer on the black you see in my profile picture, the girl riding him there wants to have him. Can't decide to sell him to her or just give him to her on a free lease as long as she wants. It's been awhile since she has ridden him so I told her to come and ride him to see if they still fit.
Fatigue can be overwhelming Carol. I really hope your vacation does you good and gets you rested.
Hope you continue to improve Carol! I too feel soooo tired every day since my TIA, and don't feel like riding. It can get you down!
Very good news Joe! You must feel so relieved!
Fantastic news! So pleased for you - keep looking after yourself and enjoy the horses. I have come out to Spain on holiday to our little farm to get over a stem cell transplant a year ago but still don´t seem to have much energy. I have my horses here and at least I manage to play with them a little most days which cheers me up. When I go home to England they live with my friend who has six of her own as they all get on really well.
Good news indeed Joe! I am so glad to hear it.
Hey! What's happening out there? No news/views etc in ages! Ive been back at work.....
im getting quite discouraged with my dressage progress. we are getting points, but the marks are too low! monday we did the hardest level 3 test, and as we entered the arena small bugs appeared- on a super windy day, and we ended up shaking our head throughout the test! ruined it!
Need help I am looking for insurance for my big guy any know of Great American or American Equine. If so which is better
