Hello Everyone!
Not only am I an older 50 rider but I also am an older 50 career changer! Three years ago I went back to school at 52 years of age to get my Masters degree so I could create my equine consulting company Happy Horse Healthy Planet and follow my bliss!
That's fine Paula. I love to see people's comments about their experiences with products, horse-related or not!
Thank you so much for your comments. Karen would you be willing to make your Back On Track comment a testimonial for my website? May I use your comment? Please check out my website - http://www.besthorseproductsreview.com. I love Back On Track products. I've had my knee brace for almost eight years. I purchased another brace when I lost some weight. When my knee is really bad I wear it overnight. Sometimes both knees bother me so I wear both braces. They are still going strong even after a number of washes. How about you?
Paula
Paula - I love the Back on Track stuff. I have the ankle brace, gloves and socks. I have circulation issues and the gloves and socks really do help me stay unfrozen!
Yes, the Mattes is genuine sheepskin.
Hi Jackie, Thank you for your suggestion. Is the Mattes genuine sheepskin?
Thank you for the product suggestions. Please keep them coming. The products do not need to be horse related. I found the ThermaPack wraps to be helpful for an aching back on a long 6 hour ride. I wear my Back OnTrack knee brace everyday. This winter I am going to buy Back On Track's long johns. I can hardly wait.
Just have to share...yesterday, my girlfriend and I needed a horse fix and met at the Red Barn at Stanford (Palo Alto,Cal) in beautiful afternoon sunlight we walked thru the mare motel, talked and loved on every horse, watched three horses at liberty just running around, raising beautiful dust trails, and reminisced about our wonderful unmounted horsemanship classes here...of course, "Our training horses", Comet, Tobey, Sterling, and Chili, were still three (been a coupe of years) and we were in awe of them just as much now as we were 3 years ago when we were scared to death to be near a horse! LOL
Hi Paula,
I have been using the Cashel Foam "Tush Cush" and am pleased after several rides.
Also, I was most interested in your horse camping/senior experience..would love to know where that was. Thanks
Hi Paula, if you mean keeping your seat bones comfortable I really like the Mattes sheepskin seat savers, though the artificial fleece ones can help some too.
