Barbara, I just love the "luxury model" - I have a wonderful friend who is also a luxury model, and it fits her to a T! Although I think that makes me a "sub-compact"!
Yes exactly that does make sense to me PJ. I never get on a horse but what I know that it could be just a matter of time and he could get rid of my butt real quick if he wanted to. I try to watch for body language and all of the signs.
Rock on Barbara, I have lost count on how many times I have experienced the unplanned dismount. Been tromped on, kicked, squished, you name it through out the many years that I have been into the horses. But I still keep coming back. One thing too...I don't experience the same injury twice. lol live and learn.
Good to see over 50, Like I have said before, I just started riding in Jan. of this year, something I have always wanted to do. I am 51 yrs. young and a luxury model..ie. bigger filly, and I have already been thrown once, dislocated shoulder and torn biscep. Getting better, am riding a 17.2 hh gentle giant and now have an awesome dressage coach, mind you, I am just learning to post/trot. I have found muscles in my thighs that I never knew I had, hard to walk today at work, and I'm a nurse in the Hospital!
I plan on buying my own horse next year, The board here is very pricey-612.mthly. So, have to save my pennies....Great to read everything from all the 50 over crowd. We are just getting better...........
PJ, I hope that you get it all baled before it rains. That is what is happening here. Some folks had it time just right and got it done, Others are still waithing for that magical moment. Good luck with it.
Marie-Lynn I dont think PG understands what you are asking and I really don't know the answer but her moms picture is at the top of my page as I am typing this. It did not appear first thing when I opened her message. I am on dial-up so this is not a new thing for me. I sometimes have to be patient, which is not the easiest chore for me but I am getting better. After a few minutes after reading all of the other posts the picture of her on the appy appeared. I did not click onto anthing just waited. ...Did I help any???
Hi ML.............it depends where you want to post pics. If you go to the main page you can add pics there for all to see. I am still learning so I don't know how to set an album up for our 50's club. I'm off to get parts for the haybine so I don't have time. I will try to set it up later if someone else doesn't beat me to it.
You need to be a member of Over 50 crowd to add comments!
