I thought I'd ask on this group for help!

I'm still looking for the parentage of my horse Reece. I purchased him last summer from Millside Stable in Innerkip, On. from BO Melissa Panjer.
She has no history on him other then he was owned previously by a local police officer (I'm assuming female, and this would be the Woodstock area), and this person does the fair shows (assuming either Tavistock, Hamburg, or Simcoe).
Reece (formally called Reef) is a 15.1-15.2hh liver chestnut (goes red in summer) believe to be Morgan gelding, rising 11yrs. Melissa would have purchased him as a 5 year old from the police officer. Prior to that owner, he is believed to came from St. Jacob/Elmira area from breeder.
Now, if you are a OMHA member, Colleen Longhurst wrote an article called "Finding Reece's Pieces" (Peter, not sure if you read it yet) which has some Sires and mares to consider..
but we are not sure.

What I'm looking for is the police officer. I am hopeful she can provide me information on Reece....breeding contact, birthdate, etc.
If any of you can help network this, I'd be so greatful. I have posted on EMG many times. That is how Colleen came to me (bless her heart, she is our Morgan P.I.). Melissa can't remember the police officers name...
I am trying to make a contact at the Woodstock (Oxford) Police Dept to net work there, I am assuming there is not a lot of female police women there, being a small country outfit.
If you have any suggestions pls email me at redaquilon@gmail.com
Out of posting on EMG, I did get in contact also by a girl that used to ride him for a year at Millside which was nice to get in touch with her. But she did not no any other info.

Thanks all!

Hi LIsa,
Are you taking lessons and showing? I am enjoying sharing the hobby with my husband too. Your photo sure looks like you are way under 40 not over!

Cindy, I read your experience this morning before I left for work, and thought about you all day. That is a miraculous story. You should be very proud of yourself.

Hey everyone...checked him (Ryn) this morning when I went to give him his breakfast. No swelling, attitude is up and normal, eating like normal, body eliminations normal. Still observing and will take him out for a walk after lunch today. Thank you all for your support, I know any one of you would have helped in a second if you were close to us.

Cindy, it sounds like you handled things very well. And bravo to your boy who remained so calm and level-headed! Hope he's soon feeling 100%!

Cindy- so happy that you and your gelding came out of that horrific incident with only some superficial injuries. Hopefully he will think twice before deciding to jump any fence/rail. Good for you that you kept your cool and thought things through. I bet he will have a new found confidence in you. Great job!

Cindy- how terrifying. Glad you kept your cool and had a good outcome. I think if I have my cell with me I am ok, but we have a lot of trouble with coverage....and then as you say, noone you knew to call was home. We should all think of people we may want to call in an emergency and make sure the numbers are in our cell...and make sure we have it on us.

I meant to say even greater confidence in you.

Cindy, that sounds like a very scary lesson, glad to hear you and your boy worked it out without to much injury! Way to go,!!

OMG Cindy, what a stressful event! I must have been just powering down for the night when you posted. It sounds like in spite of your fear for your horse, you handled the situation perfectly and managed to turn a negative event into a positive one. He will have even great confidence in you, and like you say it will be a bonding experience.
