Just wondering how everyone in here is doing these days?  It's been awfully quiet, but I hope that everyone and their horses are healthy and happy  :o)

I had a great breakthrough with Fanny about a month ago.  All it took was thinning out (and trimming) her thick forelock!!  She's like a new horse!!

And after stressing out about trying to train Fanny like well-known trainers, and being just like them, she has taught me to just be myself and do our own thing, and it has been going so much better!  I still don't ride a whole lot, but we're bonding much better than we ever have  :o)

Thank you so much!. She has come 10,000 miles. People always say 'oh me and my horse on our journey' but me and her really have travelled. She was explosive, vicious, unpredictable and didn't have a clue about the simplest things like leading, tying up etc when I got her at the age of her being 6 years old. And although she had been broken etc she had been turned away and then left, and in many cases her challenging behaviour had caused problems that I will not go into detail about. She had underlying issues with a deformity in her leg, spinal injuries which were a big problem and a reason as to why she had tried to kill her last rider!. I absolutely love this horse with all my heart, and she makes me the proudest human on the planet!

I'm so pleased for your mare. I really appreciate it when anyone working with my horse treats him like he's there rather then just walking up to them and working on them like they are a piece of furniture with no feelings or opinions about people. This is very cool that she had an opportuity to let you know how she felt about it. I have seen this too when a horse acts up for one farrier and then is fine with another. Horses are sooo special!
